I think it would be best to just have one section that talks about floppy disk media in general. Also, there is no need to tar/gzip a single patch like this. I think it would be easiest to just include the patch as plain text without uuencoding it or compressing it. Can you come up with another patch that combines your floppy section with the existing floppy section?
