But whenever I print postscript it always appends a formfeed and an error message to the job. Error: /undefinedfilename in ( ) And it doesn't print another formfeed after this message. Filter(epif): #!/bin/sh # # Read first two characters of the file # read first_line first_two_chars=`expr "$first_line" : '\(..\)'` if [ "$first_two_chars" = "%!" ]; then /usr/local/bin/gs -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -q -sDEVICE=stcolor -sOutputFile=- - \ && exit 0 else echo "$first_line" && cat && printf "\f" && exit 0 fi exit 2 ---------------------------------- But from the command line: foobar% cat file.ps | gs -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -q -sDEVICE=stcolor -sOutputFile=- - \ > /dev/lpt0 Works just fine. What could be the problem??
