The following reply was made to PR ports/92928; it has been noted by GNATS. From: linimon@lonesome.com (Mark Linimon) To: Charles Sprickman <spork@bway.net> Cc: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/92928: devel/ldconfig_compat broken under 4.8 Date: Mon, 6 Feb 2006 18:27:42 -0600 The antique, buggy make in 4.8 dies in certain cases on conditionals. Try putting spaces between the clause and the parens and see if it helps. e.g. instead of (clause), ( clause ). I hate to sound like a broken record, but all systems with that buggy make are completely out of support, even secteam support, and we no longer require our porters to test for them.
