Much prefer. FYI for Supermicro X11 boards the latest BMC firmware doesn't require = Java, it works with HTML5. The BIOS settings for enabling serial redirection on the X11SSHF are..: - Advanced -> Serial Port 2 Attribute =3D> SOL - Advanced -> Serial Port Console Redirection -> SOL/COM2 Console = Redirection =3D> Enabled - Advanced -> Serial Port Console Redirection -> SOL/COM2 Console = Redirection -> Settings - COM2 Bits per second =3D> 115200 - COM2 Redirection After BIOS POST =3D> Always Enable Annoyingly you can't use both physical serial ports *and* SOL (unlike X9 = boards where SOL could be COM3) PS with the 'virtual media' you can mount a FreeBSD ISO and do an = install completely over the network. -- Daniel O'Connor "The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from." -- Andrew Tanenbaum
