We have a host running 4.6.1-RELEASE-p10 at the moment. (We have been through a couple of patch levels the last week, but we encountered the problem first time after upgrading from 4.6-RELEASE-p3 to 4.6.1-RELEASE-p3) We have an application chrooted into its own partition. Sometimes we need to add a user in the chroot-jail, but suddenly vipw has begun to complain: root:/# vipw -d /chroot/oppringt/etc < editing and saving with :wq!> /pw.Cz2VRd: 1620 lines, 179880 characters. vipw: rebuilding the database... pwd_mkdb: /pw.Cz2VRd.orig to /chroot/oppringt/etc/passwd: Cross-device link What can I do to make vipw put its temp file somewhere else (i.e. /chroot/oppringt where it used to before the upgrade)? --Ingeborg -- Ingeborg Østrem Hellemo -- ingeborg@cc.uit.no (Univ. of Tromsø, Norway) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
