I suggest OS-BSbeta its on the cd. this has worked perfect for me. I have 3 machines running this way without any problems. > m.joling wrote: > > Dear Sir, > I hav a 8.4 GB harddrive with the following numbers16383/16/63 > My harddrive is empty with a primary space off 8.4 GB > If I boot from floppy to install freebsd version 2.2.5 for the first > time and what must I do. > Must I fillin the disk geometry with those numbers I believe so. > The space for freebsd that I want use is 2000MB or even more > Is that a critical value > I put then a minimum installaton on the freebsd partition. > In the remaining part off 6.4GB I use fdisk (dos) and make there a > primary C drive. > I format it and make him bootable but the bootmanager don't see the > bootable windows drive C. > In a earlier e-mail about this problem talks about the first 1024 > cilinders where I have to install freebsd can you explain to me what > this means. > What do I wrong or is it not possible to install freebsd and windows > on one drive. > > Best Regards > Mans Joling.
