At least I now have a way to reproduce the error within seconds: I have 1 disk connected to each of the onboard controllers (mpt0, mpt1) of this Tyan S3022 board. When I start "iozone -a" on one of the disks the system running 4.8 keeps running - where the system running 5.1 crashed occasionally. As soon as I start a second "iozone -a" on the second (!) disk (and, therefore, controller/channel), the system crashes immediately. (4.8, no tests with 5.1 yet) How do I enable pretty printing for the mpt controller? Does "options AHC_REG_PRETTY_PRINT" apply to the other drivers as well? Which FreeBSD version should I use for testing? Thanks, Patrick -- punkt.de GmbH Internet - Dienstleistungen - Beratung Vorholzstr. 25 Tel. 0721 9109 -0 Fax: -100 76137 Karlsruhe http://punkt.de
