You can check your configuration for tcpd with two programs in /usr/local/s= bin tcpdchk and tcpdmatch Theses will tell you if your configuration is ok. It does not check your = syslog.conf file. Have you ever wanted to pull back a message as soon as you sent it? I just found the following in my logs. I'm not sure what I was looking = at=20 before. This is from a telnet to the FreeBSD box.
