Hello. I have a Linux Redhat 6.0 box with a 2.2.5-15 kernel and a EISA Adaptec AIC 770 SCSI board. The computer is an old Penium 90Mhz ACER/Altos 7000. The computer works OK with a CONNER CFP1060s 1.05 gb disk, but when I install a Seagate ST-39236LW HD, the card's bios detects the drive, and then, when Linux boots, I get the following error: SCSI : aborting command due to timeou : pid 11, scsi0, channel 0, id 3 , LUN 0 test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 SCSI host 0 abort (pid 11) timed out - reseting SCSI bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0. SCSI host 0 channel 0 reset (pid 11) timed out - trying harder (the latter 3 lines repeat over and over!) I have tried using aic7xxx.c as a module and also compiling it directly on the kernel, and I have the same problem. What can I do? Tnx a lot!
