that's because you're using DES as the encryption algorithm.
therefore your passwords are restricted to 8 characters (you could type
ViewSonik or ViewSoni9, it makes no difference as long as the first 8
chars are correct). if you choose to use MD5 as the algorithm, it will
allow you passwords up to 256 characters.
