Has anyone gotten the Xircom CM56 modem to work with FreeBSD? (I'm running 3.1-199904019-STABLE.) According to the boot message (sio2: type 8250) its a NS8250 based port. If I use Kermit to connect (kermit -l /dev/cuaa2 -b 9600) after trying to send a few characters to the serial port results in nothing being echoed back, but after that I start getting messages like: calcru: negative time of -695363049 usec for pid 319 (kermit) calcru: negative time of -695361851 usec for pid 323 (atrun) It seems to run just fine under Windoz, and I'm fairly sure it isn't a WinModem. (I was somewhat depressed to find out it wasn't a 16550 based UART.) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
