Typical /var/log/Xorg.0.log will look like: [ 14.514] (EE) synaptics: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: Synaptics driver unable to detect protocol In my opinion, however, it's better to default to EVDEV enabled regardless = of OSREL as long as the OPSYS is FreeBSD because: * All supported versions of FreeBSD will need this anyway nowadays. * We don't have to worry about FreeBSD 16, which will appear 2 or maybe 3 years later.
