If your intention is to address getopt usage only (and not
a general FreeBSD style guide), then I suggest an additional
paragraph in getopt(3) to clarify the desired FreeBSD style
with respect to -?.

IMNSHO, ? should not be in the optstring which is fairly
evident from the semantics of getopt(3).
