OK, I have my chatzilla back, thanks. I wonder why they don't make it available separately like the mailer? Looking at it, various applications need to ask fam to monitor things, and it will do that, but it's meant to be installed somehow with gnome, and I don't know how to notify gnome to begin working with fam. It's not as simple as just starting fam in the background, is it? I thought it really ought to be started by /etc/rc.conf, or I guess more corectly /usr/local/etc/rc.d/fam.sh, but I didn't see anything like that there. If you recommend it, I could do that. I just want to know how it works with gnome, is all. > > Joe > > | > | > - > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > | Chuck Robey | Interests include C & Java programming, FreeBSD, > | chuckr@chuckr.org | electronics, communications, and SF/Fantasy. > | > | New Year's Resolution: I will not sphroxify gullible people into > looking up > | fictitious words in the dictionary (on the wall at my old fraternity, > | Signa Phi Nothing). > | > - > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > | _______________________________________________ > | freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org mailing list > | http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-gnome > | To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-gnome-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" > | > > > - -- > Joe Marcus Clarke > FreeBSD GNOME Team :: gnome@FreeBSD.org > FreeNode / #freebsd-gnome > http://www.FreeBSD.org/gnome > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (Darwin) > Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org > > iD8DBQFCOIySb2iPiv4Uz4cRAi5EAJ977mVSWWdIc9gphAn9qdaXa0+I1wCfdt7d > eGOK9q3JsXkw2yFrwVt3WrY= > =XdN4 > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include C & Java programming, FreeBSD, chuckr@chuckr.org | electronics, communications, and SF/Fantasy.
