Until I looked into the header of Makefile and found the solution: /usr/obj/usr/src51/src/make.i386/make -f Makefile.inc1 reinstall So maybe it is a suggestion to add that as a target to /usr/src/Makefile as well. And the big question is: does this do the same as installworld??? Note that I normally use 'make installworld', also on NFS mounted installs Note that I needed to make 'beyond43.ascii.gz' manually, since that was not to be found anywhere in /usr/{src,obj} For all others it now seems I'm running 5.1-RELEASE --WjW
