A few of comments. * I had the whole distribution on a 2.0.5 partition (wd2e), and wanted to install it. It looks like it is not possible to say "mount wd2e, then get the files from ...". It shouldn't be much different from the code that allows you to get the distribution from the cdrom (or the MSDOS partition, as far as I can tell). Would it be possible to add this option in the distribution ? * the shell that is forked on the fourth console is chroot-ed on /mnt, which perhaps prevents from doing damages, but does not allow you to do anything until a FS is actually mounted there. How about keeping it chrooted on / ?
