I installed the Firewalling code into kernel of our server and tried to setup up an IP filtering facility. All things run well, but not samba! When I start the server with no filtering code and make any kind of access to it by a NT Client, starting then the rc.firewall script to install filtering, all things run well as I expect. But when starting filtering prior than making any connect from the NT clients to the samba server I can see the server but when trying to access it I get an error message than some kind of path is not found. One of my first rules is to pass anything unfiltered within my LAN. So, what' up with the samba server or NT clients? Is this problem well known or is it maybe a specific configuration problem? Please help, thanks in adavence, Gruss O.
