I've had this concern for a while, but from the change log, I haven't
seen any changes that really affect my installations. I would guess
that Sam is about ready for another major release and would like to
have a port of 0.42 when released. I personally am of the opinion
that Yarema <yds@CoolRat.org> has done a great job of porting courier,
not trivial IMO and maintaining it. I have never had an issue when
updating. The only reason that I was able to change to courier was
because of his taking months to develop and get the port committed.
I haven't seen anyone else offering to take on the maintenance
responsibilities either. So, I, personally, hope he will continue.

I wounder if Yarema is on this list and could give us some idea
of the plans for mail/courier.

Thanks,

ed
