Have you > installed a52dec from ports/audio/gstreamer-plugins-a52dec/ ? Perhaps ffmpeg was compiled without some codecs. If you check GPL codecs off, a52 and others are not compiled. Deinstall ffmepeg, do a manual compilation with cd /usr/ports/multimedia/ffmpeg && make config install clean, checking the options you want.
