I had to manually coax portupgrade across this.  My gconf2-2.14.0_2
update decided it wanted net/openldap23-client and happily built
openldap-client-2.3.24 and then blew up because openldap-client-2.2.30
was already installed.

My fix was:
portupgrade -f -o net/openldap23-client openldap-client-2.2.30
