I'm having difficulty making KDE 3.2 packages on my system, and I'm not sure if it is something to do with the ports system, or something I did. Hopefully someone can enlighten me. This system did have KDE 3.1.4 on it (not used or configured as this is a reasonably new install of 5.2-RELEASE that I haven't fully set up yet). I decided that I might as well start from scratch with KDE3.2, so I did a pkg_delete on KDE 3.1.4. This could be the "something I did"? Portinstall seems to be doing its thing, but when it comes time to making packages in both kdegraphics-3.2.0_1 and kdeartwork-3.2.0 it fails with a tar error code 512 and a lot of files that it claims it can't find. For instance, in kdeartwork-3.2.0: --- Creating bzip'd tar ball in '/usr/ports/packages/All/kdeartwork-3.2.0.tbz' tar: bin/keuphoria.kss: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: bin/kflux.kss: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: bin/kfountain.kss: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: bin/kgravity.kss: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: bin/ksolarwinds.kss: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: bin/kwave.kss: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/KEuphoria.desktop: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/KFlux.desktop: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/KFountain.desktop: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/KGravity.desktop: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/KSolarWinds.desktop: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/KWave.desktop: Cannot stat: No such file or directory tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors pkg_create: make_dist: tar command failed with code 512 *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11-wm/kdeartwork3. *** Error code 1 --- Note that portversion reports that the ports are installed, but I'm wondering if they are missing files. Anyone have any ideas that can help this FreeBSD newbie figure out what is going on? Thanks, Adrian.
