What did you have to do? > Many thanks, > Russell > Not all of them has bugs only microcode revisions 1.62/1.66 and 1.68. There is a fix. I got it from Soenke Behrens (Soenke.BEHRENS@conner.com). They were very helpfull. I'm not allowed to send it to anybody, according to the README files and things they send me. Here is a piece of the message which says what information they need: there is indeed a fix available for users with a CFP1060x (microcode revision 1.62/1.66/1.68) and Linux. To apply the upgrade, you will need a DOS boot disk and ASPI drivers that can access your hard drive. If you are confident that you can do the upgrade yourself, please send us E-Mail with your full name, daytime telephone number and microcode revision of your disk (9WA1.6x), and we will send you the upgrade package as a file attach. Before the upgrade I got filesystem corruptions when doing large filesystem transactions like extracting tar files or restoring a disk from tape.
