Please let me know what your thoughts are, I don't need > the CDs yet. Another approach to this would be to have an install-fest, in which everyone in the class brings in their machine, and you set up a network for everyone to install from. For those who don't have network cards in their machines, have a few CDs to pass around and do people one at a time. We tried a freebsd/linux/other things installfest at the local SAGE meeting, and it did _not_ go well, mostly becuase we had like 8 people who brought CDs to share, and no one needed to install; one guy needed to fix an already finished redhat installation that had some kind of problem, and that was about it. It was a rather lame evening. For your situation though, I think that the installfest approach will work well, if you are careful to organize it well. You might want to have a pile of spare freebsd-compatible network cards on hand if people want to pop them in to do the install over the net. > > Sincerely, > Sarwat. > > > > _________________________________________________________ > DO YOU YAHOO!? > Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Jeffrey Dunitz | Current Job: | orpheus@avalon.net BOFH Emeritus, Avalon Networks | Network Engineer | Eagan, MN, USA http://www.avalon.net/~orpheus | EXi Corporation | 651-523-6992 (work) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
