While elasticsearch2-py technically supports v2.x.x, the dependency has been limited to the v2.4.x branch, as that was the target of the test cases performed by submitter, and matches available versions in the ports tree. Maintainer also updated as moving away from original source port ethos of n= ot specifying the elasticsearch dependency.
