Message-ID: <20010929225926.H5492-100000@klima.physik.uni-mainz.de> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-stable@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Running FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE on a dual SMP machine, based on TYAN's Thunder 2500 mainboard (ServerWorks ServerSet III HE chipset) 'provided' again a problem: this time after the todays cvsupdate, make world, rebuilding of the kernel and rebooting, sshd did not start automaticaly and ended up in boot progress with this error: Sep 29 15:36:23 atmos sshd[264]: fatal: rsa_generate_private_key: key generation failed. All other machines, same time cvsupdated, several SMP, several UP, but not ServerWorks chipsets, have had no problems after this reboot. I realised that this machine, especially the SMP/ServerWorks based system, has problems with ssh and reported them earlier. The configuration differes not much from the other SMP machines (mean: how sshd is configured). Maybe a further notice of watching white mice ... -- MfG O.
