It attempts to correct the broken arrow keys of the us.emacs.kbd keymap. When one installs FreeBSD, one is asked to choose a keymap early on in the process, and choosing us.emacs.kbd will prevent installation from proceeding, since both fdisk and sysinstall will not function correctly with the broken key mappings. Also affected: kbdmap and vidcontrol. I would like to fix this. Before I bother digging into this, I was just wondering why the previous effort to fix this has stalled? Anyone know? -- James Bailie http://www.mammothcheese.ca
