The last comment on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15098 says:

"I really can't be arsed to fix this properly right now, XAA is just
dire.  For 7.4 I'm just going to turn off XAA offscreen pixmaps by
default, they end up being a performance loss in most cases anyway."

Thus, XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps is really "the fix".

(For me, "AccelMethod" "EXA" did not help, for radeon at least.)

Moreover, since "-jpeg" was added to "USE_MOZILLA" with Firefox 3.0.1 in 
the port, I have not seen the problem with any options. (Maybe, I have 
not been trying hard enough.)
