There is still an XF86Setup, but it doesn't get built if there's no Tk installed... but doesn't Tk require X11 to be installed already? OK. Quick show of hands... who remembers what "catch 22" means? -Otter p.s. I'm a wild man. I copied my /etc/X11/XF86Config from another machine and edited it using trial and error to get the mouse and resolution settings perfected (though you still need your monitor specs!!!). Anyone with a ps/2 mouse and a TNT2 vid card who needs a hand can drop me a line directly for a copy of my XF86Config file. I've also got one for the laptop using a C&T 65555 chipset. }-----Original Message----- }From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG }[mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Daniel }Domengeaux }Sent: Tuesday, December 12, 2000 5:42 PM }To: Christian Flügel; questions@FreeBSD.ORG }Subject: Re: Getting XF86Setup into XFree 4 } } }someone will correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think }XF86Setup is part of }X-4 anymore, try XFree86 --configure or xf86cfg is the new }graphical config } }-daniel } } }----- Original Message ----- }From: "Christian Flügel" }To: }Sent: Tuesday, December 12, 2000 4:36 PM }Subject: Getting XF86Setup into XFree 4 } } }| Hello Folks. }| }| Today I have installed XFree-4 via the Ports Collection. }| After Configuring and Compiling the Port I realized that }TCL was not }| installed on my System and therefore XF86Setup was not built. }| Is there a way to build XF86Setup without reinstalling the port? }| It took me the better part of three hours to compile it }and I'd hate to do }| it all over again. }| }| Regards }| }| Christian }| }| }| }| To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org }| with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message }| } } } }To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org }with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
