As long as the SSID is announced, it works like a champ, but my home system does not do so and the wpa_supplicant does not work with it on V8. My config file: ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant ctrl_interface_group=wheel ap_scan=1 network={ ssid="babcom" scan_ssid=1 key_mgmt=NONE wep_key0=01234567890... wep_tx_keyidx=0 } Yes, I know I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY need to switch over to WPA. As soon as I get some time. I added ap_scan since the V8.0 upgrade, but it is otherwise the configuration that worked on V7.2. When the supplicant runs, I see the key and key index set on the interface, fur the SSID remains blank. If I issue the command 'ifconfig wlan0 ssid babcom', the card associates almost immediately. -- R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
