I got nowhere with sound (pcm) and apm also seems not to work. I tried booting with a PCCARD config kernel and it detects the insertion of a Hayes OPTIMA 56K but pccardd cannot supply resources. Before I go and supply all the details I wondered if anyone has a 600E running 3.4 or even 3.3 who could provide any config details needed to get most of it to work. The DSP chip seems to hog a lot of IRQs under Windows (98) in fact I am not sure what IRQs are available on a 600E for pccardd to use. Rebooting in to Win98 ends up with no COM1 and the DSP modem gets flakey but all is well if the system is power cycled rather than rebooted. I guess I may have to wait for PAO-3.4 but would be quite happy if I could just get a modem card to work. Sound would be nice. I suppose 4.0 will work even better ..... not too inclined to jump in to current just yet or can someone recommend a snapshot date?
