There are several techniques that can be used. The simplest is to just commit changes to the PO file. When another person works on the translation, they use 'svn update' and get the latest version of the PO file before adding new translations. There could be conflicts where the PO file in the repository conflicts with local changes. This is handled the same way as source or other text file conflicts, with a conflict resolution in svn. For now, conflicts between multiple translators are likely to be rare, and committing changes to the PO files is probably enough. Manual coordination can be combined with this. The translators would agree on which part of the document they will translate. Chapters could be a logical division for that. Another method is to use a web-based translation system like Pootle. This could be shared by a single translation team or even the entire FreeBSD translation community. PC-BSD uses Pootle, so we can probably ask them technical questions. There are certainly other ways. Suggestions?
