Following the instructions from 'Installing the FreeBSD SMP Kernel' I just brought up the SMP kernel on an ASUS motherboard with 2xPP200 w/128MB per processor. FreeBSD/SMP: Multiprocessor motherboard cpu0 (BSP): apic id: 1, version: 0x00040011 cpu1 (AP): apic id: 0, version: 0x00040011 Warning: APIC I/O disabled ... SMP: All idle procs online. SMP: Starting 1st AP! SMP: AP CPU #1 LAUNCHED!! Starting Scheduling... SMP: TADA! CPU #1 made it into the scheduler!. SMP: All 2 CPU's are online! Shall I enable the APIC_IO code or will bad things happen? I had no troubles following the docs. BTW, what do I do to demonstrate both processers are doing things? -- Brian Litzinger Powered by FreeBSD <brian@mediacity.com> http[s]://www.mpress.com
