I tried connecting manually, (as described in the ppp man page), and i can connect fine...so maybe it is something in my .conf file?? im thinking its a wrong init string...because in the conf its listed as AT OK-AT-OK \ \dATDT\\ ATE1Q0 OK - and the rest of that nonsense... at the ppp term my session is like this: at OK atdt9209815 connect .... so maybe it is the init string ? also i really wont be able to tell for sure since i dont have the modem manual anymore :) i have no problem connecting like this but it just sounds a bit retarded since a certain file on my system is just being a b17ch ;p thanks for the ppp guide btw... greg To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
