about same: da0 getting about twice the load when writing.

(forgot to mention: the system is RELENG_5 as of 28th Feb).

btw, there's also a single weird line in my gstat output:

gvinum/plex/usr.p1

percentage often exceeds 100 and that large value for L(q) seems like 
(uunit32_t) -1 to me.
other values look correct and correspond to those shown for other 
components of the setup.
