Quite the contrary. True. OSF required a System III license, and tried to be all things to all people. It did strange things like making "ps <flags>" use BSD flags, but "ps -<flags>" use SysV flags. DEC went from there to DEC Unix (whatever that is), but they *changed the name* when the Unix they started from became radically different.
