Things are almost good to go but I have a couple of annoyances that I would like to resolve. The biggest one is that on powerup, my D-Link wireless network card will fail the probe and attach. Here is the relavent message: Jun 18 15:52:20 dizzy /kernel: wi0: at port 0x240-0x27f irq 9 slot 1 on pccard1 Jun 18 15:52:20 dizzy /kernel: wi0: mac read failed 5 Jun 18 15:52:20 dizzy /kernel: device_probe_and_attach: wi0 attach returned 5 If I do a reboot (shutdown -r), the card usually comes up fine. The card also cannot be hot-plugged into the system. The other annoyance is that my RealTek 8139 cannot be listed in my ifconfig_rl0 line in rc.conf if I want the wireless card to acquire an IP address. I use DHCP for both interfaces. Is there some sort of ordering problem. What I would like to be able to do is go to work and plug into the rl device, and then come home and stick in the d-link card and have things work OK. I will attach my boot output at the end of this message. Any other info or things you would like me to do, just let me know. Thanks. -Reggie Jun 18 15:52:19 dizzy /kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
