at the end of my ftp installation i get a message "MAKEDEV returned
non-zero status."
and then i go through and End Install and the system boots fine and then
i get:

swapon: /dev/wd0s1b: No such file of directory
     Automatic reboot in progress...
     /dev/rwd0a: clean, 18628 free (4 frags, 2320 blocks, 0.0%
     fragmentation)
/dev/wd0s1f: No such file or directory
     Can't stat /dev/wd0s1f
Automatic file system check failed... help!
Enter pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:

does anyone have a clue to what the hell is going on?! i've reinstalled
5 times and have nixed everything in the Visual Config that was not on
my system. speaking of that hear's the lowdown:

     P5 133, 40Mb RAM, WD Caviar 2850 (~812Mb), 3Com509, S3 video board.

Please forward any response to my email (erb@jsri.msu.edu)
any help will be cause for a shrine in your honor!!!
mucho thanks.
