Well, that's what I believed also.  Actually I tried PNIC driver and 
find out that _my_ DFE-530TX wasn't supported by Bill's PNIC 
driver.  I mailed to Bill and got answer which says that DFE-530TX 
is based on VIA "Rhine" chipset.  There's ongoing work to support 
that chipset but currently there's no driver.
