ARJ builds OK here on 10.1. My first thought is the OP has something unusual in /etc/make.conf. My second thought is whether you actually need ARJ. ClamAV evidently has it as a dependency, but I think it probably shouldn't given that ARJ archives are rarely seen "in the wild" these days. In any case you can exclude arj from the rebuild with: portmaster [options] -x arj Regards Andrew
