I remember some } discussion about these controllers, but don't know what was the } result. The 53c700 is too expensive (and powerful) for this purpose. Guess it's some 53c80, 53c90 or 53c400 variant. The "nca" driver might be near enough (see /sys/i386/isa/ncr5380.c).
