First of all, I'm not subscribed to this list, so if you choose to respond, please CC this address. I have a 4.5 box with SCSI disks. It hung just now and on reboot it came up in single-user mode. fsck is bitching about block 2144 on the root filesystem and is unable to repair it. Is there any way to get around this? All data is backed up on tape. The man pages for fsck and fsdb did not reveal anything obvious (to me) and all of the articles that I was able to find on Google are for ext2fs. Thanks! Scott
