There are two software packages to do this, CAP and netatalk. CAP was designed by Mac people and uses Macintosh/Appletalk networking terminology and concepts, whereas netatalk uses TCP/IP terminology and concepts. I have not implemented either of these under FreeBSD but both are supposed to work. The home site for netatalk is http://www.umich.edu/~rsug/netatalk/ and there is a FAQ at http://www.umich.edu/~rsug/netatalk/faq.html Since it is not listed at http://www.freebsd.org/ports/net.html I don't know if it will work although it was developped on BSD kernels.
