I have an HP Netserver LC2000 (Serverworks chipset, Symbios SCSI) that I seem to be able to install FreeBSD to from a bootable CD (4.1.1 ISO) but I cannot seem to get it to boot after the installation is over. I have a single harddisk in the #1 hotswap tray. I've made it boot from DOS and Windows 2000, so I'm pretty sure there's no hardware setting that I'm missing. Is there any way to create a boot floppy that can boot an arbitrary kernel? A FreeBSD version of loadlin?
