After installing the new port the directory=20 /var/run/dhcpd was not owned by dhcpd user, so no pid file was written --> status and stop= =20 don't work. also the directory=20 /var/db/dhcpd=20 was not owned by dhcpd user, so lease files where not modifyable by dhcpd. After changing ownership, the pid file in /var/run/dhcpd is ok, but the lea= se=20 file in /var/db/dhcpd is still owned by root. What a mess. =2D-=20 Mit freundlichen Gr=FC=DFen =46ritz Heinrichmeyer FernUniversitaet, LG ES, 58084 Hagen (Germany) tel:+49 2331/987-1166 fax:987-355 http://www-es.fernuni-hagen.de/~jfh
