Yes, have done it for:

java -version
java version "jdk1.1.5-Freebsd:02/25/98"

uname -sr
FreeBSD 2.2.6-RELEASE


look at
ftp://gonzalez.cyberus.ca/pub/Linux/java/tya12.tgz
size is 125053 byte
