(check out the prefs on netscape...) Hmmm, for what I saw, you commented out the controller pci0 line, which is for my knowledge, the controoller for the PCI bus. Unless your computer is, well what can I say, ... out of my range, you need that line!!! There are a few other things I might advise you to add to your kernel. 1) Make sure the line ident reflects the real name you gave to your kernel... By the file you sent, your kernel should be name GENERIC... 2) Make sure you have a math co-cpu, or else you will have to uncomment the line: options MATH_EMULATE # which emulates a math co-processor... ... but I don't think you're problem's there... 3) Don't know if it's a good idea to comment out the eisa0 line... 4) As I said before, pci0 should NOT be commented... "It provides support for all devices on your PCI bus" quoted from the /sys/i386/conf/LINT file. 5) I think That's about it... Please, check the LINT file, and the handbook for the kernel configuration... It's worth it! Hope I helped you!
