SUSTAINABLE JERSEY=C2=AE FUNDS 20 SCHOLARSHIPS TO NJ LEARNS

=C2=A0

MAY 8, 2012, EWING, NJ: Representatives from Sustainable Jersey
announced today that the Sustainable Jersey program will provide 20
scholarships to teams and individuals attending NJ LEARNS in 2012.
=E2=80=9CThis is a great opportunity to help individuals and teams from
Sustainable Jersey municipalities throughout New Jersey to develop a
shared understanding of sustainability, and help them to advance
education for sustainability in both school and community =
settings,=E2=80=9D
said Donna Drewes, Co-Director of The Sustainability Institute at The
College of New Jersey.

=C2=A0

Applicants for the scholarships were required to either teach or live
in communities that were certified or registered with Sustainable
Jersey. The scholarships will offset the cost of attending NJ LEARNS,
a program developed and facilitated by the Cloud Institute for
Sustainability Education.

=C2=A0

Sustainable Jersey is pleased to award two scholarships of $275 each
to teams from Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Jersey City, and Mountain
Lakes. Individuals who work in Allamuchy, Bridgewater, Evesham,
Hoboken, Little Silver, Mahwah, Montville, New Providence, Newark,
North Plainfield, and Weehawken will each receive one scholarship to
the NJ LEARNS program, which seeks to build knowledge, skills and
tools to lead and educate for sustainability in schools and
communities.=E2=80=9D

The program provides:

=E2=80=A2	Eight days of expert training, best practices, and leadership
tools to educate for sustainability
=E2=80=A2	Knowledge, skills, materials to approach community interests =
from
a sustainability perspective=C2=A0
=E2=80=A2	Resources from Sustainable Jersey and networking opportunities =
to
build your capacity to advance sustainability initiatives=C2=A0
=E2=80=A2	Constructive peer and expert feedback to help you match your
message to your audience and so much more!

The NJ LEARNS Program is generously funded by the Geraldine R. Dodge
Foundation and partners closely with Sustainable Jersey. Sustainable
Jersey is pleased to announce that it is utilizing grant resources
from the Dodge Foundation to provide supplementary scholarships to
participants from certified or registered communities which will
enable them to attend the program at no charge.

Scholarships are no longer available, but there is still time to
register. The program begins next Tuesday, May 15th. More information
