Disabl= ing the use of MSI-X as described in comment 32 is a viable workaround, though. Comment 20 describes an orthogonal bug consisting in link status being repo= rted for interfaces in the down state, while the expected behavior for an interf= ace in this state is that no link status is reported and that - unless WOL is enabled - its PHY(s) is/are shut down.
