I'm sorry I haven't figured out the AR9227 stuff; I've been really busy at work lately and I'm behind on some freebsd stuff. When using the MIMO chips (AR5416 and later, EXCEPT the AR9285/AR9485, they're special) the antenna profile side of things doesn't really count. That's a hold-over from when manual antenna selection occured. It really doesn't mean anything here. The AR9285 and AR9485 are different - they're 1x1 chips (so not really MIMO) and they do some funky antenna switching and mixing. So those values do actually mean something. -a On 16 September 2014 13:18, Alex Deiter wrote: > Hello Adrian, > > I am sorry to trouble you, please tell me, is there any news about > https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=193402 ? > As a temporary solution I use Atheros 5416: > > ath1: mem 0x91910000-0x9191ffff irq 21 at device 0.0 on pci36 > ath1: [HT] enabling HT modes > ath1: [HT] RTS aggregates limited to 8 KiB > ath1: [HT] 2 RX streams; 2 TX streams > ath1: Enabling register serialisation > ath1: AR5416 mac 13.10 RF2133 phy 8.1 > ath1: 2GHz radio: 0x0000; 5GHz radio: 0x00d0 > > https://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_TL-WN951N_v1 > > please explain to me why I can only see two of the three antennas? > > TP-LINK TL-WN951N v1 bgn, 3x3:2: > > TxR:S > T: Number of transmit radio chains > R: Number of receive radio chains > S: Number of spatial data streams > > but: > > # sysctl dev.ath.1|grep ante > dev.ath.1.txantenna: 0 > dev.ath.1.rxantenna: 1 > > and > > # /usr/obj/usr/src/tools/tools/ath/athstats/athstats -i ath1 | tail -3 > Antenna profile: > [0] tx 1238378 rx 328159 > [1] tx 0 rx 1234989 > > What role does the third antenna conector? > > Thank you! > > > 2014-09-07 2:35 GMT+04:00 Alex Deiter : >> >> Hello Adrian, >> >> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=193402 >> >> Thank you! >> >> >> 2014-09-07 1:03 GMT+04:00 Adrian Chadd : >>> >>> .. and please file a PR! >>> >>> http://bugs.freebsd.org/submit/ >>> >>> >>> >>> -a >>> >>> >>> On 6 September 2014 14:03, Adrian Chadd wrote: >>> > Hi! >>> > >>> > On 6 September 2014 02:39, Alex Deiter wrote: >>> >> Hello Adrian, >>> >> >>> >> Today the network adapter completely hung with messages: >>> >> >>> >> Sep 6 13:26:19 blackbird kernel: ar5416PerCalibrationN: NF >>> >> calibration >>> >> didn't finish; delaying CCA >>> >> Sep 6 13:26:49 blackbird kernel: ar5416PerCalibrationN: NF >>> >> calibration >>> >> didn't finish; delaying CCA >>> >> Sep 6 13:27:19 blackbird kernel: ar5416PerCalibrationN: NF >>> >> calibration >>> >> didn't finish; delaying CCA >>> >> Sep 6 13:27:49 blackbird kernel: ar5416PerCalibrationN: NF >>> >> calibration >>> >> didn't finish; delaying CCA >>> >> >>> >> and clients can not connect. >>> > >>> > Does this always appear when it hangs? >>> > >>> > That means the baseband has gone receive deaf and locked up. >>> > >>> > Lemme go find an AR9227 to throw in a test AP here and reproduce.
