If you shop around you should be able to find an old JetDirect MIO card that will slot into the back of it. That's the best solution. There's actually a bit of a glut of them so it shouldn't be hard to obtain one. I tried to eBay one a while back and couldn't get a nibble even at $5. Computer surplus places are a good place to look for these cards, although you may have to take the printer that's attached to it. ;) IIRC they were the same from the original LaserJet up through the LJ4.
